It’s fair to say that travel is in my blood, because I was brought up by parents working in the British Diplomatic Service. Being born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 197-ahem granted me the privilege of joint British and American citizenship, and I’ve been on the road on and off ever since then, including long spells living in the USA, Italy and Oman.

I’m proud to call London my permanent home and I have done since 1996. I’m away at least once a month though, with my family as often as possible, although I’ve also been a frequent business traveller and I’m passionate about opening the world up safely and inspiringly to women travelling on their own, for corporate or any other reasons. I’m always looking for exciting new places and adventures, like the lovely Historic Hotel of Europe I’ve pictured below, the Peacock at Rowsley in England’s stunning Peak District.
