The Cranley: A Classic London Hotel

The Cranley Hotel in South Kensington takes good service very seriously, as I discovered whilst enjoying afternoon tea there recently. A boutique hotel in one of London's loveliest areas, I took the time to write about all of its best features for Got Saga.   The hotel offers easy access to the Serpentine Gallery, Natural History Museum, V...

The Irish House during the Olympics 2012

Travel Culture Magazine published my piece on what turned out to be the only one of the many fabled Olympics houses that I managed to visit during Summer 2012. I'd like to blame my extended travel writing trip to Abu Dhabi and the Maldives, but the fact that New Zealand's Kiwi House managed to burn down thanks to a maverick gas canister cer...

As soon as I took my family for a visit to the newly revamped Museum of London, which has undergone an extensive and very successful refurbishment and, dare I say it...

The Camden Arts Centre

Camden Arts Centre 001I love Camden Arts Centre. It's perfect for one of the UK's very many rainy or grim weather days, and the children really love it too. I wrote a piece raving about it for Travel Culture Magazine. I'd be very interested to know what you think.

Only in Hampstead...

Paparazzi signThere is a ridiculous sign outside the changing room of a gym in Swiss Cottage. It says "No Paparazzi! No snapping with camera phones in our changing rooms please" I'd like to know who exactly feels under threat of pap shots in the toilet. Made me laugh.

Kiss the Sky Bar

I posted this review on View London, just because this bar is such a great little place. Kiss the Sky Bar Hampstead is surprisingly low on great drinking venues that welcome small children. Kiss The Sky Bar is a lovely cafe bar which has recently opened on Pond Street and may redress the balance slightly. It has highchairs and crayons and colourin...
