The Best Ever Travel Pillow Trtl

Let me be clear. I have tried A LOT of travel pillows. I think we all know what the majority of them are like. That strange bean bag texture. Or alternately sagging and hard in all the wrong places. So I was excited to trial the Trtl pillow and I wasn't disappointed. Soft and fleecy yet reinforced enough for support, it has a range of differ...

After a recent first time trip to Kuwait, it's been fun to return to writing about destinations in the Middle East. I've had the pleasure of travelling all over the Persian Gulf, including three years living in Muscat and multiple trips to the UAE, but Dubai  remains the stand-out option for family fun and winter sun. Dubai has been firmly o...

This is the second in my series on stunning winter chalets for Passepartout Homes , the go-to global site for luxury holiday accommodation and corporate retreats. Of all the desirable French skiing locations, perhaps none is more iconic than Val D’Isere. With settlements dating back at least to the seventeenth century, and a key role in European sk...

There are, of course, plenty of ways to visit the Panama Canal for the first time. We were approaching from the Pacific side, and wanted to get up close after several passes over the Bridge of the Americas. The Panama Canal celebrated its 100 th birthday last year. Of the three locks dotting its Pacific to Atlantic span, Miraflores is by far the mo...

Just as the pre-Christmas season seems to extend annually, so too do the range of tantalising retail options available during November and December. It can be difficult to unpick truly luxurious items of lasting quality, particularly when shopping for appealing stocking fillers rather than sure-fire large items. It is also surprisingly easy to fall...

Always a pleasure to write about shopping, especially for the wonderful Passepartout Homes When thinking of the shopping possibilities in Umbria, one of Italy’s most picturesque regions, the strongest association for most people are the local food and drink specialities. Umbria has several celebrated wines, including Orvieto and Sangiovese. The reg...

I have just had the privilege of staying in a fabulous hotel, the Radisson Blu , in a fascinating place, Kuwait City. Sad to say, I had never visited Kuwait before, but I made up for lost time on my recent trip. I could not have been made to feel more welcome by the hotel, starting with an excellent meet and greet service at the airport. After an e...

We all went sailing on the Black Magic, a full scale pirate ship from Rodney Bay in St Lucia a couple of days ago from 5pm until after sunset. The crew were all so friendly, dancing around and in cool costumes. I will write more but I had to say right now how totally cool it was...! Estella Roxie
