Gdansk is hardly undiscovered as a chocolate box tourist destination, but after taking my kids there I noticed that there was a lot less written about its many attractions for children. These include a few really excellent museums, including the Polish Maritime Museum, the Amber Museum and The Solidarity Museum. I wrote an article for Travel Culture Magazine detailing all of these important places, since it would be a pity to overlook them during a visit.



Gdansk also has some fantastically-preserved old streets, like Mariacka.



When we first spotted this guy in the picture below sleeping on the tan, we thought he was an especially lifelike installation at the Solidarity Museum...
